Stevens' studies were with Abraham Skernick, Martha Katz, Robert Vernon, Victor Lieberman and Salvatore Venitelli. Steven has appeared as soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony. Mr. Rosen is an active solo and chamber player, performing regularly with the CSO Chamber Players, the Taft Museum music series, and solo recitals in the area. He has played Kol Nidre at Temple Beth Adam for High Holidays since the early 80's and has recently released a duo CD "A PINCH OF OY, A DASH OF AHH! A BISSEL KRECTSER A BISSEL KVELLER" with Richard Goering on guitar which includes that masterpiece of Bruch. Children From Southern Israel Get a Break From The Trauma of
It may look like a fun day out learning about science, but for these children attending an educational event in Rehovot, Israel, its also a vital break from the ongoing trauma of the recent conflict in the area. http://www.israel21c.net Under intense daily rocket attack back home in Israels missile hit south, the children havent been to school since fighting with Gaza began, are often too terrified to leave their homes, and suffer various serious psychological and emotional problems, from bed wetting and nightmares, to insomnia, panic attacks, depression and anxiety. At the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Davidson Institute of Science Education, hundreds of these troubled children from Israels frontline are getting their first opportunity in a long time to go outside and learn, knowing they are safe from harm. The institutes are providing free daily educational activities for Israel \'s southern residents, bringing them to campus for as long as the war continues. In addition, Science mobiles, filled with necessary equipment for all kinds of experiments will also make their way down south, visiting children in bomb shelters across the south.

Hachnasat Sefer Torah At Shalom Hartman Boys High School
In a lively and moving celebration, coinciding with Jerusalem Day 5769 and just before Shavuot, the Levi family donated a Sefer Torah (Torah scroll) to the Shalom Hartman Institute Boys\' High School. The Sefer Torah was commissioned especially on the occasion of 7th grader Noam Levi\'s bar mitzvah. The family, immigrants from France, held a similar celebration in Tsfat (Safed) earlier in the week, but the Sefer Torah was donated to the school, and is the first Sephardi Sefer Torah in the school\'s possession in Jerusalem, Israel.
